We’re still reeling from the effects of Hurricane Sandy, and as of yet it’s unclear how much physical damage has been done to our community library buildings and resources.

As our libraries begin to re-open, and folks in our communities (naturally) turn to us for disaster recovery assistance, be prepared to help. Feel free to download this Disaster Recovery Resources doc — including FEMA and other federal and local government resources — for distribution in your library.

Update: Middletown Thrall Library of Middletown, NY has put together a comprehensive information guide concerning Hurricane Sandy, which contains a wealth of emergency resources. Topics include generators, flooding, outages, relief and recovery, and more.
