Why are School Libraries Important?
Readers are leaders. We need to daily encourage reading so our country will have better leaders. Our society needs to advance in all areas…readers achieve more

How has a School Librarian or Library Impacted You?
Best time at school each week was the trip to the library. Working in a small town public library during college with a competent librarian led me into education. Final years of teaching brought me back to the library and the realization of the importance of this resource

How Does the Work of School Libraries Impact Your Work as a Library Professional or Person?
A person just made a large contribution to the library at the college I attended. He stated the library will meet the needs of all students because everyone needs to use and have access to the library. In retirement I will have access to this library.

For the first time we are seeing strong language protecting School Libraries in national education policy. ESEA is up for a vote and this bill will be CRUCIAL to the future of school libraries, a section of the profession that has been under assault for decades. An Assault on One is an Assault on ALL. Stand up for School Libraries in America TODAY!
