DESCRIPTION:Let’s be real\, there are times in our library work where we need to be able to move quickly and safely to stay physically safe in a patron interaction. As a result\, ULU has collaborated with friends at Haven Boxing to create a class that can help you do just that. \nWE keep us safe. So come to this class to start learning the skills you need to de-escalate moments of crisis safely. \nHaven Paradigm\n60 minute class \nHaven Paradigm is a 60-minute hybrid class created specifically for local library workers to feel empowered\, stand your ground\, and understand how embodiment powers de-escalation. Our goal is for library workers to walk away with brand new skills to add to their tool belt when faced with clients or members of the community during moments of tension. \nMake sure to wear comfortable clothes\, sneakers\, aid bring a bottle of water for this killer workout!
