DESCRIPTION:For almost 20 years\, Urban Librarians Unite has been the scrappy\, get-it-done crew showing up for library workers\, no fuss\, no frills\, just a lot of heart and a lot of hustle. This year\, we’re doing something we’ve never done before: throwing ourselves a fancy party. \nJoin us on October 14th in the heart of Brooklyn for a night that’s going to be equal parts glamour\, whimsy\, and chaos-in-the-best-way. That’s just how we do things. \nWe’re going full Romantasy for the theme\, so break out your best fae-court finery. We’ve got a nationally recognized emcee joining us\, great local music to keep the night moving\, and (yes\, really) a burlesque tarot card reader to tell your fortune. \nIt’s a celebration of nearly two decades of showing up for library workers\, and a chance to help us keep doing it for 20 more. Come dressed up\, ready to have a good time\, and support the work that keeps libraries thriving. \nTickets
