The first Urban Librarian’s Conference took place on April 5th, 2013.
This was the first conference of its kind, a conference focusing on urban libraries exclusively for practitioners and front line librarians. The theme of the conferen
ce was “Living in Interesting Times” and speakers certainly emphasized the dynamic and changing nature of work in libraries in t
he city. Speakers and attendees came from all over the United States and everyone walked out the door fired up and ready to get back to the city libraries they serve.
