Librarians and ComiCon go together like a perfectly created S’more of wonderful goodness. Geek culture meets pop culture meets nerd culture meets the coolest freaking event in New York City. Not only do librarians love comics but comics culture is craaaazy about librarians (mostly in a nonpervy worshipful “super smart superheroes walk among us” kind of way, there might be a tiny bit of pervy but it’s harmless).

If you haven’t gotten tickets for New York Comicon then it is already too late, it’s sold out. There are no more tickets to buy but you can EARN a pass by working the American Library Association booth. We are looking for volunteers for the weekend and we would love to have you come out and join us. You will get to use a volunteer badge so you have access to the con for FREE (how awesome is that?!?!?).

Your time will be spent both working the booth (you stand there, you tell people libraries are awesome, they agree with you and praise you as a hero to mankind: it’s easy work) after you have helped out ALA for a couple of hours you can go about enjoying the show.

We have time slots all weekend and can use all the help we can get. Please sign up here.
See you at the Con!!!!!
