Urban Librarians Unite is back! After a brief hiatus to catch our breath we are reinvigorated, reenergized, and reinvented. Ever since ULU was first created two years ago we have had people asking that we rotate buroughs to make it easier for everyone to meet. Well we heard your words. Starting this month, October, we will be alternating between meeting in Greenpoint and Long Island City. You asked for it, we heard you!

We will meet Wednesday the 13th of October at TBD in Greenpoint:

cheap drinks and surprisingly cheap food as well as a huge back garden for while the weather is still nice.

We will start at about 7:00 and run until 10:00 all librarians, library workers, library supporters, and librarian groupies are welcome. For future reference we will hold our meetings on the SECOND WEDNESDAY OF THE MONTH from this point forward.

Our topics this month will include an after-action discussion about the Read-In and Postcard Campaign as well as brainstorming and organizing for the next round of budget battles.

Come out and celebrate the profession, the work, and the life of an Urban Librarian and tool up for the next round of the fight along with us.
